Pita Te Hori Centre / King Edward Barracks
by Ngai Tahu Property

Following the deconstruction of the old police building, Ngai Tahu Property decided to build two new buildings on the same site. MultiMedia Communications won a tender with Hawkins Construction to complete the full backbone cabling for both buildings.

Time Frame

The MultiMedia Communications has been working on this project for about 11 months.

Metres of cable

This became a design build and MMC installed Single mode fibre within an Air Blown Fibre solution across not only these 2 x buildings but also the new car-park built behind these.

MMC also supplied all the network equipment required to link these buildings for the BMS and CCTV services amongst others.

MMC also were awarded the office fit-outs for Ernst Young and Aurecon.

This involved installing over 42 kms of Siemon Cat6A shielded cable and terminating over 900 x RJ45 jacks across 3 x floors.

The Communications Rooms were completed with APC cabinets and APC UPS systems supplied and installed by MMC.

The King Edward Barracks project has been completed within the scheduled time frame and budget. Clients are very satisfied.
